8.Dish soap (not dishwasher detergent)
9.Cleaning supplies (Bleach, Pine Sol, Spic & Span spray, Clorox Wipes, etc)
10.Walmart or Price Chopper gift cards
11.Gift cards for gasoline
12.New twin sheets sets
13.New pillows
14.Hairbrushes and combs
15.Disposable razors

A women’s shelter
Newhouse appreciates your interest in donating to our shelter. To guide you in your charitable giving, we have created the following guidelines. All donations are by appointment only and accepted on Mondays and Tuesdays, but holidays. To schedule a donation drop-off appointment, please contact the Community Engagement Manager at (816) 462-0503, for more information.
Our immediate shelter needs are listed to the left. You can also visit our “WISH LIST” online, make a purchase and it will be delivered directly to the shelter! Thank you for your continued support of Newhouse!
Unfortunately, we can not accept the following items:
•Televisions (older models that are NOT HDTV converter box / cable ready)
•Computers that are more than one year old (as they are not compatible with our computer network)
•Travel / hotel size soaps and shampoos (unfortunately, these “single” usage items take up too much of our already limited storage space.)
